About Us

Hey.

My name is Tom Grant, I’m 27 years old, and welcome to my website Inspire4Travel. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, USA and while I went to school and was encouraged by my family to go to university by my family, I always felt there was something missing in my life. By the time I was 23, most of my friends were heading off to work in the cities or were settling down to start thinking about starting their families.

Me, on the other hand, I didn’t want any of that. I wanted to explore. I wanted adventures and I wanted to see the world. I wanted to see all the amazing places and things inside them. I wanted to discover historic delights everywhere and I wanted the opportunity to meet beautiful and life-changing people of the world along the way.

So, that’s exactly what I did.

The day after my 24th birthday, I quit my job in an art supplies store, packed a bag and took a flight from Wisconsin to New York, and then from New York to Paris. I spent one week in this beautiful city and the travel bug nestled under my skin and has been there ever since. During my one year tour of the world, I visited many countries through Europe, I went to Morocco, I slept in the Sahara Desert, I climbed mountains in New Zealand, and I went rafting through the rivers to the temples of remote Vietnam.

I’ve since taken many adventures for weeks or long weekends to various countries around the world, but have yet to return home to Wisconsin. I now see the world as my home and my life as a traveling nomad is never boring. Inspire4Travel started as an idea for being a personal blog but soon evolved into a hub for other like-minded travelers to find information on new places or for tips and tricks on how to travel, or how to make a living doing it.

I just want to say thank you for visiting my website, and I hope you can find as much value and joy here as I did while writing it!
